I apologise for the downtime on the Raid Network. It was caused by a server misconfiguration during upgrade.

RaidPIC Security Vulnerability
We have had to temporarily disable RaidPIC while we look into a security vulnerability.
Further updates will become available soon.
UPDATE: The vulnerability was in the header file which allowed users to use SQL injection to gain access. This has now been fixed and the rest of the site will get a thorough check before becoming available again.
UPDATE 2: Verification complete. The site is now online again.

Downtime
Yesterday we faced prolonged downtime. It was not our fault and affected our whole datacenter so there was little we could do about it.
Here is a technical explanation of the fault:
The reason for the outage was a broken core-router. We think something happened with the datacenter power and are still investigating what really happened. A few parts of our corerouter were broken, the routing engine, the switchingboard and one of the powerfeeds. We have replaced the full system with another one which was already planned to replace the current one. This took some time because we had to rebuild the full configuration (including vlans on the new device).
The full network is stable again and ware closely monitoring everything.
Sorry for any inconveniences, but this was out of our hands.

[RESOLVED] Facing some technical difficulties
We are currently facing some technical dificulties, but are working to solve the problem. Further info will be available here very soon.
[22.05.09 19.59 GMT] : We have decided to go ahead with a moving to a new server we recently bought. The original plan was to move in approximately a week but due to unforseen events, we have decided to complete the move now. The new server is much more powerful. We won’t face any problems there
.
[22.05.09 23.40 GMT] : Everything is pretty much complete. Just waiting for the new DNS to propogate. That could take anything between 24-48hours depending on which part of the world you live in..
[23.05.09 05.00 GMT] : We are back!

We were DDoSed
We were down a few minutes ago and also earlier in the day due to a DDoS attack. Some jealous imbecile seems to be crying his eyes out that WarezRaid is bigger then their site can ever hope to be and thinks the best way to get around it is attack our server.
Needless to say we will be taking measures to prevent such attacks in the future.

Downtime on the Raid Network
For about 90minutes last night, the whole Raid Network went down as all the servers lost network connection. It seems that the whole datacenter went down caused by “network interruption from our supplier “.
Here is the official statement:
Because of a maintenance failure during last night our network supplier had a temporary fiber failure. Because of this failure our network was not fully reachable during 00:00 untill 02:00 GMT+1.
All errors have been fixed and all services should work again with no further impact.
Due to the obvious downside of having the blog in the same datacenter, we will be moving it shortly to a new location.
